**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Job Description & Requirements**:
You will be involved in software development lifecycle as a software tester to ensure that new code is tested for function and safety before being deployed. Responsibilities include:

- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
- Create test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
- design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform regression testing
- track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Skills and Competencies include:

- Familarity with software development of software quality assurance
- Familiarity with automated testing tools
- Knowledge of scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
