[What the role is]
As part of Enterprise Singapore’s Startup Ecosystem Development Division, you will be working closely with Singapore’s startup ecosystem partners to support the execution of initiatives and programmes that will drive the growth of the startup ecosystem in collaboration with partners.
Our year-long initiatives and community events will galvanise the global innovation community towards the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH). As Asia’s leading startup conference, SWITCH connects the Global-Asia innovation ecosystem through premier thought leadership, vibrant networking, showcases and exhibitions, and the region’s most exciting deep tech startup competition - SLINGSHOT.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to assist in the production of SLINGSHOT.
[What you will be working on]
You will be instrumental in co-ordinating and executing activities leading up to and related to SLINGSHOT.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Event conceptualisation - Develop event proposal for SLINGSHOT to meet objectives
2. Event Organisation - Run event operations in the lead-up to SLINGSHOT and during event, including liaising with judges, mentors, event partners etc.
3. Publicity and marketing - Responsible for developing and conceptualising marketing plans to drive awareness of SLINGSHOT and SWITCH
4. Content creation - Create and curate high-quality, engaging content for publicity across major marketing outreach channels. Work with partners to curate and share content, enhancing collaboration and mutual promotion.
5. Website management - Manage SLINGSHOT updates on the website including updating of event information, promotional materials, and news and announcements.
6. Competition Platform management - Manage competition platform including forms, announcements and startups tracking
7. Liaison responsibilities - managing multiple stakeholders, including internal divisions and external parties such as partner competitions, sponsors, startups and other third-party vendors, ensuring that event requirements are met.
[What we are looking for]
You should have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in marketing or event management, backed by recognised qualifications and education in a related field. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential. The role requires you to manage stakeholders confidently, possess good negotiation and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work within tight deadlines. We are looking for an individual who is independent, resourceful and a good team player.
