**About the Role**:
Global Switch is seeking a diligent and analytical Cost Manager. This pivotal role entails overseeing the financial and cost management aspects of our ongoing projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards. As a key figure in our company, you will employ your expertise to monitor costs from project inception to completion, delivering insightful reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
This role would be based in Singapore. Reporting to the Contracts Manager (APAC), the role will be based at Global Switch’s Woodlands data centre in Singapore, but will cover 2 Tai Seng and will involve occasional visits to the other data centre sites in APAC.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for construction and development projects within the data centres.
- Work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective strategies are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide detailed cost analysis and reporting, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to keep projects aligned with financial expectations.
- Utilises Gantt & Critical Path Method (CPM) network schedule techniques used in Primavera (P6) scheduling software and MSProject.
- Develops and maintains Cost Status Reports (CSSR).
- Implement and oversee cost control systems, ensuring they meet the company's requirements for financial accuracy and compliance.
- Performs variance, trend and 'what if' analysis and develop any necessary corrective action and work around or recovery plans as required.
- Contribute to the negotiation of contracts, tenders, and agreements, ensuring favourable financial terms for the company.
- Assess and manage risks that could impact project budgets, developing strategies to mitigate these risks.

**About You**:
You are a highly analytical individual with a passion for numbers and a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities. Your proactive approach allows you to anticipate financial challenges and address them efficiently. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, you’re adept at working with various teams to ensure project financial goals are met and exceeded.
**Key Requirements**:
- A degree, or equivalent, in an engineering, building or surveying discipline; plus experience in cost management (i.e. project controls) and scheduling.
- Prior working knowledge of CPM, PERT, Gantt and line-of balance scheduling techniques.
- Demonstrable experience in cost management or quantity surveying within the construction, engineering, or data centre sectors.
- A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market rates.
- Aptitude for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
