Summary

This position supports the Asia Regional Procurement (ARP) managers in formulating and implementing procurement strategies by providing analytic and tools support (i.e. supply, demand, cost analysis, vendor review, etc) for intermodal and land spending.

Main Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis and provide detailed comparison and discussion points for manager's review/decision to support contract negotiations.
- Gather business intelligence data e.g. market benchmark, historical pricing, suppliers' profile to optimize negotiation strategy.
- Assist ARP team in maintaining the contracts and rates database in Asia covering functions of intermodal and land services.
- Participate and support analysis of RFQs and cost benchmarking for intermodal and land spending. Need to be well verse of Microsoft Office.
- Prepare managerial report on cost analysis, negotiation status etc, as and when required.
- Track and report ARP's KPI achievement for intermodal and land spend periodically. Pre-alert and highlight variance when necessary.
- Monitor and periodically report on vendors' performance through key performance indicators.
- Develop analytical tools as necessary.
- Liaise with other departments (Lines, Cost Control, Agencies ) to ensure timeliness and accuracy of all data for decision making.
- Handle any other assignments as and when assigned by the Procurement Managers for Intermodal & Land.

To perform well in this role, you should possess great data analytical mindset, strong organisational skills.

**Minimum Requirement**:

- Degree in in relevant discipline
- 0-2 years of experience within the maritime industry
- Experience in container shipping operations or procurement would be advantageous
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
