**Core Responsibilities**

Our mission is to lift the LEGO Group’s focus on tax governance, risk management, tax controls & compliance through the development of open dialogue with the tax authorities. The main scope includes:
- Implements the standards, design and implement the tax control framework together with our Business Service Operations (BSO).- Working closely with internal partners to provide process maps, identify and assess risks, and develop appropriate control descriptions.- Take an active role as second line of defense by driving and developing our forward-looking risk management process and perform operational risk management on the processes operated in BSO.- Evaluate and advise general day-to-day matters and on the tax impact for projects, legislative changes and ad hoc advisories in the business that may impact the processes and/or tax control environment.- Linking technical analysis from GSTC to BSO.- Be the link to between our Tax Operations teams and external outsourcing partners, providing technical expertise for design of processes, monitoring processes, and actively closing gaps in controls.

This role sits within Global Strategic Tax & Customs (GSTC) and is to be close to our key collaborators in the business, help creating visibility on taxes and lifting the strategic focus on governance.

Reports to Head of Tax Governance to ensure that the foundation for management of taxes across the Group is strong and effective. We are a diverse team with experience that goes outside our beloved field of tax, ranging from finance, consulting, risk management over internal controls.

This role requires a focus on global projects anchored in the tax governance agenda. Because of that, we standardise the processes and work closely with our colleagues in GSTC, BPI and Tax Ops.

**Do you have what it takes**:
You are a great self-starter with the ability to work independently, a problem solver and lead projects effectively. You will thrive in a top professional and dynamic international team. You enjoy working in a global environment interacting efficiently and remotely with all your key partners and is not afraid of change. On top, you have:
- A Masters Degree in Accounting, Tax or Law are preferred.- 5 years or more work experience in tax, risk management, compliance, accounting, project management and/or with an accounting firm focused on tax, preferably in a multinational environment.- Have demonstrated skills in development of control frameworks and risk management procedures.- Demonstrate solid process and IT skills, preferably SAP.- Exhibit proven analytical and decision-making skills.- Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to tax professionals and other internal partners.- This role will require approx. 20% of travelling time.
