Chab Events is a turnkey corporate digital & live event management, experiential marketing, augmented/mixed reality and incentive travel agency. We work across a large range of industries including tech, healthcare & medtech, insurance, finance, luxury, fashion, aerospace, hospitality, food and beverage. Our reactive and passionate team produces inspiring events & experiences.

Chab Events is on the lookout for an experienced, creative and passionate 2D Designer to join the growing tribe. As a creative within the design team, you will create visual concepts, communicate ideas that inspire and propose and execute design strategy.

What you will be doing:

- Contribute creative ideas to concept briefings, based on script and storyboards.
- Create background art and 2D animation assets based on approved concept art, using digital painting tools.
- Support the concept development with sketches and ideas.
- Produce quality designs through sketches, and presentation techniques to communicate design intentions and ideas;
- Propose design solutions that not only meet client briefs, but also exceed & challenge the brief to push creative boundaries;
- Communicate clear design with ideas and creative concept that will string the entire proposal together;
- Participate and lead creative brainstorming sessions;
- Work closely with the production team in ensuring the design is aligned with the client’s requirements from conceptualization to production; and
- Maintain workflow in accordance with project schedule, with a variety of tasks and deadlines.

About you:

- Thorough understanding of digital/traditional and Graphic art techniques.
- Good knowledge of 2D editing tools, like Adobe Flash or Illustrator, to be able to deliver any kind of good quality 2D assets
- Good skills using Photoshop (or similar tools)
- A solid background in academic drawing, sketching and/or illustration is a major asset
- Versatile and prepared to tackle many different kinds of tasks, ranging from creative challenges to mass production.
- Able to work under tight deadlines with strong ability to multitask;
- An eye for composition, realism, texture, color, lighting and attention to details;
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Retail Design is a plus, as is experience in an agency;
- Self-motivated, accountable and a positive ‘can do’ attitude; and
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and illustrative).
