**Job Description**:

- Lead and plan the strategy for renewable energy business development, with a focus on business expansion in India (as the top priority), Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines.
- Conduct feasibility study of potential projects as a project manager in conjunction with other members of HQ.
- Identify new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector in Asia, including Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and India, and review opportunities to develop appropriate strategies for development, acquisition, and commercial closure.
- Define project scope, budget estimations, execution strategies, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships in the renewable energy sector, including with clients, utilities, industry and regulatory stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Develop and deliver proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with potential project partners, balance of system supply partners, project developers (if relevant), Government and regulatory bodies, and other relevant market participants.
- Coach and develop the Business Development team to improve team and work performance.
- Lead the negotiation in project / contract / agreement with local partners to ensure OGS business interests are addressed.
- Review overall training and development plans for the department to ensure that they are aligned with organizational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for leading the conceptualization and development of renewable energy business strategy.
- Responsible for advisory insights to HQ for the evaluation of project feasibility.
- Responsible for leading effective and smooth negotiations in project / contract / agreement with local partners and stakeholders involved.
- Responsible for overseeing the different functions of project execution for the company from start to end (eg. Awarding of contract etc.)
- Responsible for attending to the various technical and commercial reviews, resolving any enquiries from both internal/external stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

- Able to work in a very fast-changing / volatile industry environment that emphasize a lot on decarbonsiation
- Patience in prospecting and engaging potential and current customers.
- Diversify in engaging Japanese culture.
- Minimum 5 years of business development experience in renewable energy sector. Financial and/or technical background.
- Minimum Degree in Engineering, Business or its equivalent. Frequent business travels to designated countries (India, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines)
