**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will provide essential therapeutic interventions that enhance the daily living skills, social participation, and overall well-being of children with diverse needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact meaningfully in a supportive and dynamic environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

1) Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the occupational therapy needs of children with diverse challenges.

2) Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each child’s unique strengths, goals, and challenges.

3) Facilitate therapeutic activities that promote skill development, independence, and social interaction in various settings.

4) Lead group therapy sessions focusing on enhancing fine motor skills, sensory integration, and self-regulation strategies.

5) Collaborate with families to guide strategies that can be integrated into daily routines to support the child’s development.

6) Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, including progress notes and outcomes, and communicate findings to the multidisciplinary team.

7) Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance the therapeutic program and overall care provided.

8) Stay updated on best practices and current research in occupational therapy, particularly in relation to children with special needs.

**Preferred Qualifications**

1) A degree in Occupational Therapy and relevant certification/licensure to practice.

2) Proven experience working with children, particularly those with special needs.

3) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage children and families.

4) Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to varying therapeutic settings.

5) A passion for promoting independence, quality of life, and positive behavioural outcomes for children and their families.
