**DevOps Engineer
Abaxx Exchange is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help us build commodity futures exchange and clearing systems.

DevOps Engineer responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Ruby or Python, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Implement integrations requested by customers
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Provide Level 2 technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Develop dashboards for Observability - Logs, metrics, traces.
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

**Requirements**:

- Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Good knowledge of Ruby or Python
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL (cloud database hosting Problem-solving attitude
- Knowledge/experience of ITIL - Change, Incident and Release management
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Experience/knowledge of working on a cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Familiarity with any one of the CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, AWS Code Commit)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, OWASP Top 10, web hosting.
- Exposure/understanding of networking concepts CDN, DNS, TLS, Edge computing, etc.
- Business domains: Exposure to Financial institutes in trading space, experience of working in an exchange or clearing house.
- Worked on client on-boarding using FIX, API or websockets.
- Knowledge of derivatives, futures and options instruments advantageous.
- Expose to tools/concepts like: containerization, dockers, AWS Fargate, RDS, AWS glue, Cloudfront, Route 53, VPC.
- Familiarity with monitoring, log aggregation and observability tools - ELK, Grafanna, Prometheus, splunk, etc.
- Independent, self driven, good interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team
