**Direct Search Global is working with a fast-growing Private-Equity Firm to fill a role of Managing Director, Investment to be based in their Singapore office.**

The Managing Director will be a senior and experienced investment professional who has worked in early-stage venture capital space or private-equity firm. The role is responsible for sourcing deal flow from his/her network that will lead to early-stage investments. The Managing Director is responsible for building and managing portfolio and realizing attractive exit opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide hands-on leadership in all aspects of investment activities (from origination to exit) with the goal of investing a significant amount of capital annually into high-quality opportunities.
- Source proprietary investment opportunities and create an investment deal flow pipeline.
- Identify investment/business opportunity, establish an investment case, and structure and negotiate terms for potential investments.
- Establish and maintain trusting and professional relationships with key decision makers of potential investment businesses.
- Develop a complete understanding of an emerging company by evaluating its market opportunity, competition, product, sales and growth, operations, financial statements and projections, management strength, equity needs, and capital structure.
- Work closely with and support portfolio companies, including attending board meetings and monitoring performance to ensure returns and strategic objectives are achieved.
- Lead the investment team to ensure all existing investment portfolios are well managed and oversee day-to-day operation of the investment team.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum of 15 years of working experience in top-tier venture capital firm, or private-equity firm, with a track record of full exit.
- Proven experience from sourcing to exiting investments, including deal analysis, due diligence, reviewing and negotiating all documentation, serving as deal interface, and driving deal processes to completion.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and define issues, collect, and analyse complex data, advise alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, draw valid conclusions, propose sound recommendations, and implement approved solutions in support of specified goals; attention to detail is critical.
- Prior experience in managing investment portfolio in healthcare industry is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a team of investment associates.
