Locum Radiologist

**Job Summary**:
Radiologists are physicians who specialize in the capture, processing, and interpretation of a patient’s medical images, including X-ray, mammography, ultrasound scans, computerised tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. They may need to perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients and create diagnostic images to assist other physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of a patient’s illness or injury.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Review and interpret a patient’s medical images including X-ray, mammography, ultrasound scans, computerised tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.
- Review and transmit images and information using picture archiving and communications systems.
- Provide these radiologist services primarily through teleradiology.
- May be involved in communicating examination results and diagnostic information to referring physicians, when required.
- May be involved in determining the exact images required for diagnosis and delivering orders to the radiographers or sonographers, when consulted.
- May be involved in suggesting alternative medical imaging techniques, when consulted.

**Desired Skills and Competencies**:

- Registered as a Radiologist with the Singapore Specialists Accreditation Board.
- Possesses a valid Singapore Medical Council Practicing Certificate as a Radiologist.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Radiologist in accredited medical centres/institutions.
- Excellent patient management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

**Remuneration**:

- Salary Range: $95-150/hr, depending on experience
