This opening is for a 3D modeler/ developer to develop a low-poly 3D learning resource for medical education at LKC Medicine.
The applicant will be helping the primary investigator (Dr Vivek Perumal, Lecturer in Anatomy, LKC Medicine) in developing a low-poly 3D learning resource for medical students. With the skills in design, animation and computer graphics, the applicant will help in creating a set of low-poly 3D models, add interactive elements like labels, quiz etc., and develop that into an online distributable resource (app or webpage resource). The final version of the model will be in two forms
- (i) learning mode
- with interactive labels and notes added to the model and (ii) testing mode
- with self-evaluation tasks like building a model from pieces and/ or answering MCQ questions.
All sketches/ draft models necessary for the project will be provided by the PI who will also directly supervise the activities of the applicant.
**Requirements**:
- Experience with 3D modelling software (Blender or Maya etc) to create 3D models- Creativity
- to artistically enhance the models and enhance visual aesthetics- Experience with Unity 3D or similar resource to add interactive elements to the 3D models- Would have graduated or studying in a course that focuses on design, animation and computer graphics. Previous experience in making online 3D models is preferred.
