Audit Technical and Training Manager

We are seeking for a highly motivated, independent, and technically strong professional to join our newly created arm in the audit technical team. As a manager, you will be part of the team to provide technical expertise, advisory and compliance checks to our auditors.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting with the review of working papers prepared by client/audit engagement team relating to the appropriateness of carrying amounts of assets/liabilities that are measured using fair value or recoverable values
- Able to perform independent valuation for businesses, intellectual property, financial instruments, etc.
- Assist in market and industry research, construct and analyse financial models, develop financial models and set up best practices, workflow and procedures in related areas.
- Able to perform financial modelling and forecasting using methods and leverage on relevant tools to perform financial modelling and forecasting.
- Review the valuation reports for inaccuracies
- Review the valuation reports for gaps and provide suggestions to bridge the gaps
- Understand and able to make use of the financial reporting standards, and posing relevant challenges and questions on key inputs and assumptions used by management
- Guide the team in amending the reports to clearly articulate the rationales for the valuation conclusions when necessary
- Technical research and consultations - writing technical publications; review, revision and development of technical working paper templates and training materials; as well as co-ordination, facilitation and/or conduct of technical training sessions.
- Training - Review and develop training programme with reference to the effectiveness of the training programme; coordination, facilitation and/or conduct of trainings; and monitoring of the CPE hours clocked by the audit professionals.
- Other ad-hoc projects that may require your involvement.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
- 5 - 6 years of audit experience, preferably from an international public accounting firm
- Deep passion to specialise in technical and training
- Ability to work independently
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills
