Handyman (Punggol)

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents and ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly and safely.
- Assist in maintaining the environment of the residence, including landscaping, painting, and minor renovations.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory of tools, equipment and storage areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that maintenance work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant codes.
- Work together with the Facilities Manager and other team members on projects to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with external contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
- Carry out all tasks with consideration for the needs and well-being of elderly residents, maintaining a respectful and compassionate demeanor.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum GCE “N” Levels.
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role in a healthcare or eldercare setting.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in working with elderly individuals.
