A German automation manufacturer in the field of PCBA, Life Sciences and Energy solutions manufacturing.
**The Job**:
A General Manager (Sales) to join our Asia Pacific team.
You will be responsible for managing the Asia Pacific sales team (excluding China) to focus on revenue growth.
You will have the task to drive the Asia team (direct & agents) to identify, pursue, and negotiate deals with existing and potential clients.
As General Manager (Sales), you will manage all elements of the sales cycle, strategy implementation and customer relationship management to continue to grow the business and meet performance targets.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and guiding the sales team to achieve business growth and target. Cultivate new sales channels, evaluate needs, establish mutually agreeable terms, negotiate contracts, and manage the sales network.
- Manage and develop relationships with key accounts throughout the whole lifecycle of sales & customer support, account vetting, quotations reviews, financial management such payment terms, credit limits, service support rates.
- Identify market trends in the industry and understand client business goals to determine ideal solutions and products.
- Work collaboratively with an international team of Sales offices worldwide with aim to drive revenue growth via existing and new customers.
**Experience & knowledge**:
- **Must have **proven experience of 5-8 years in PBCA manufacturing equipment area or related electronics manufacturing automation equipment field.
- Strong knowledge of surface mount technology, semicon and automation equipment ecosystems.
- Knowledge of cultural & market diversity in the Asia region, industry trends and innovation in manufacturing technology.
- **At least **8-10 years’ direct experience in sales management of capital equipment in PCBA industry to OEMs and EMS with relationships with key decision makers an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with clients, management, and peers.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- A good degree in electronic/electrical/mechanical engineering and an MBA or business qualification a plus point.
- Financial knowledge to analysis monthly company accounts reports.
- Able to manage contracts.
- Experience in handling import & export documents and Letters of Credit a plus point.
- Hands-on sales and business development experience from prospecting through to closing deals would be an advantage.
- Build and manage pipeline of independent sales channels from other internal sales efforts within the organization.
- Must be analytical, good problems solving skill, articulate solutions, analyze and report data collected.
- High level of initiative, motivated and self-driven.
- Customer-focused - with excellent communication, customer support and negotiation skills.
- Good leadership skill to motivate & lead the team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
