Reporting to the Head of Contract Wording, APAC, you will be responsible for contract drafting and advising on complex client account assignments, along with coaching junior colleagues on contract wording.

**We will rely on you to**:

- Expertly draft and provide contract wording solution in support of reinsurance placements.
- Interpret and assess contracts, performing quality assurance review to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations.
- Communicate reinsurance technical, regulatory-aware and market
- Recommend coverage and wording enhancements where opportunities exist.
- Advice management about client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in solutions.
- Develop and deliver training for Clients and Internal Departments as requested.
- Guide peers to produce relevant documents to educate Brokers and Clients on changes or challenges that could impact a Client’s reinsurance strategies.
- Drive technical soundness reviews of all documentation for seasoned contract colleagues as assigned, mindful of Company procedures and Company and/or Client preferred clause and protocols.
- Research and respond to inquiries from Brokers, Clients and Markets, demonstrating sound and relevant technical acumen and issue resolution skills.
- Perform technical and overall quality reviews of all reinsurance contract documentation.
- Actively enforce compliance and internal governance within policies and procedures for assigned colleagues.
- Proactively address operational and service delivery issues, elevating to management as needed.

**What you need to have**:

- Bachelor’s Degree, professional qualification in (re)insurance and relevant experience.
- 10+ years of related experience in insurance/reinsurance industry, preferably as underwriter or broker in previous roles.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience of working within a technical capacity.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
