**JOB SUMMARY**

The Vice President Powerplant is responsible for all technical aspects of the assigned engine portfolio including marketing and customer support, delivery / redelivery activity, technical records, workshop management control processes, engine manufacturer technical relationships, technical service providers, invoice review, budgetary planning and control.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Provide active support to deal teams in all engine-related aspects of engine leasing.
- Liaise directly with airline Powerplant functions in the negotiation and execution of engine lease transactions, deliveries and redeliveries.
- Build and maintain relationships with customer airlines, manufacturers, maintenance facilities housekeepers, technical service providers and record managers.
- Manage expenditure and on-time delivery obligations to customers.
- Manage and control engine shop visits to meet customer expectations, contractual commitments and ensure project budget compliance.
- Conduct ongoing supplier performance assessment and drive service levels.
- Analyse and approve lease customer engine invoices and maintenance reserve claims.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor on-lease engines ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and protect owner asset value.
- Asset transition: work directly with other functions within AerCap to provide specialist expertise in support of the delivery and redelivery of leased assets.
- Develop individual project and long-term fleet budgets and forecasts to support all fleet planning and risk assessment exercises.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, & COMPETENCIES**

**Educational/Experience**
- Professional engineering degree or a relevant Aircraft / Engine Maintenance License
- At least 10 years' Technical engineering experience involving all aspects of maintenance desirably at an aircraft/engine lessor.
- Commercial aircraft/engine leasing experience
- Demonstrated experience of aviation regulatory environments together with detailed knowledge of certification requirements for FAA and EASA
- Demonstrated working knowledge of engine shop maintenance contracts, supplier performance assessment, work scoping and invoice management
- Willing to engage in frequent global travel, often at short notice.

**Desired experience/skills/competencies**
- Strong computer skills - MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Demonstrated analytical and problem skills
- Good communication skills - written and spoken
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and multitask
- Leadership Skills - proven ability to manage people and lead a technical deal team to meet commercial and technical targets.
