**What the role is**
- This is a Senior/ Forensic Scientist role which sits under the DNA Profiling Lab, Biology Division.

**What you will be working on**
- Job Description: - Conduct and supervise DNA analysis of crime samples. - Interpretation of forensic DNA results. - Preparation of reports and provision of expert Court testimony. - Conduct statistical analysis and development of new forensic DNA technologies. - Assist the Laboratory Director in general laboratory administrative matters and technical staff training.

**What we are looking for**
- Job Requirements: - Background in Life Sciences, with coursework modules in Mendelian Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, or related fields. - Background in Life Sciences preferred. - Sound life sciences knowledge with proven expertise in molecular biology/genetics as evidenced by publications in international peer-reviewed journals. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Some experience with statistical software (e.g. R, SPSS, SAS) in life sciences setting will be preferable. - Familiarity with barcoding metagenomics/WGC on MPS/Nanopore platforms will be an advantage. *Pls note that only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
