Senior Counsellor at Samh Insight Centre

SAMH manages Insight Centre where counselling services are provided. We provide a helpline and face-to-face counselling for persons with psychiatric, psychological or emotional issues, as well as their families.
Purpose
As a senior counsellor, you will improve mental wellbeing through various platforms. You are responsible for facilitating new treatment plans and conduct direct services such as mental health assessments to help those in need. Individual and group therapies will be led by your knowledge and skills to improve the community’s mental health. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to conduct workshops, and lessons to the community by providing essential information and knowledge to reduce the stigma of mental health. In addition, you will supervise a team of counsellors and interns by giving your guidance and experience. Core Duties:
- Provide face-to-face/ helpline counselling
- Engage, support and equip caregivers
- Attend to helpline calls
- Recommend, initiate and implement new projects
- Provide case management
- Maintain and updated records
- Conduct training and deliver talks
- Responsible for maintenance, collation and submission of statistics
- Prepare and ensure accuracy in periodic reports
**Requirements**:
- Masters in Counselling
- Able to work with all age groups
