We are looking for a passionate and professional Assistant Manager, Infrastructure Services (Database Administrator) to join our Infrastructure Operations team.

The incumbent will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of multiple databases, including troubleshooting. Maintain data documentation, include writing data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).

However, we also recognize that each individual has a unique blend of skills. Whether your strength is in Infrastructure Services or Database Management and retail solutions, we want to talk to you.

**What You'll Do**
- You will perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and administrative functions for production and data warehousing environments
- You will establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
- You will perform advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of database issues
- You will respond to system problems if necessary and support internal datacenter on an as-needed basis
- You will configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization
- You will display thorough knowledge of server clustering techniques and the impact on database configuration and performance
- You will maintain database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls
- You will develop, manage and test backup and recovery plans, ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning at an optimal level

**Who You Are**
- You will need a degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Science or other IT-related disciplines.
- You will need minimum 5+ years of experience in database administration / database management.
- You should have knowledge of standard database functions, structure and concepts
- You should have good knowledge of database administration tasks such as hot and cold backups, database recovery, tablespace additions, security practices, etc.
- You should have experience with database management tools like MySQL and MSSQL
- You should have advanced installation and configuration experience in database tools
- You should have basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
