Our client in the banking industry is urgently hiring:
**Settlement Officer
**Job Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end processing support to Treasury and Markets on Securities and Loan, Money Market, Equity and Foreign Exchange
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of trade validation, settlement, Nostro reconciliation and other accounts management, control checks, investigation and exception handling are being performed.
- Support initiatives, process improvements and projects to enhance processes and productivity. Take accountability to ensure successful implementation thereafter.
- Takes accountability and demonstrates commitment in issues and problems.
- Perform settlement for all payments related to Vendors, Finance, Administration, Office Expenses and Treasury and Loan products.
- Monitor daily settlement, ensuring all transactions are executed timely in compliance to AML and Internal Policies.
- Perform control and completeness checks at specific timings.
- Perform validation and trade reconciliation in Core Banking System.
- Ensure all reconciliation exceptions are investigated and resolved within stipulated turnaround time.
- and post-trade are effectively managed.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a smooth settlement process.
- Assist to produce documentation on settlement-related workflow and continuous improvement.
- Process inward and outward remittances and all transactions are accounted for accurately and timely. Perform other duties as assigned by internal stakeholders.

**Job Requirements**
- Diploma / degree holder with 3-5 years of banking settlement experience, preferable with product knowledge in Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Equity, Securities and Loan.
- Experience in various operation functions which includes processing, reconciliation, settlement etc.
- Strong understanding of SWIFT messaging and Euroclear system
- Meticulous, attention to details with a risk and control mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and a team player.
- Good organizational skills with ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Accounting knowledge and experience would be an advantage.
