What You Will Achieve

The incumbent is member of the Quality Operations (QO) team. Under the supervision of the CI Champion-QO, the incumbent should have good knowledge of forecasting and capacity planning, project management and metrics reporting. The incumbent works very closely with all the QC/QA colleagues for Continuous Improvement projects and the effective root cause analysis for the sources of losses and converting them into implemented continuous improvements (including QC and QA, altogether 9 QC PCT workstream and 3 QA PCT workstream). The incumbent works with BEX team and cross site CI Specialist and CI Champion of other ecosystem for feeding opportunities in the CI loop and improving QO team performance. Works closely with the Site Element SME and Element Sponsors including Gemba Coach to ensure getting full value from the use of the CI loop.

How You Will Achieve It
- Develops and maintains the CI board for entire QO team
- Supports installation of CI element to the assigned Process-Centric Team (PCT) for QC and QA
- Manage Tier 1/ Tier 2 CI process: including facilitating the Tier 1/ Tier 2 CI meeting, updating the CI board and coordinating CI project prioritization.
- Contribute to CI projects at Tier 2 CI meeting.
- Analyze data from data collection systems to help set daily, weekly and monthly prioritization and escalation decisions by the QC/QA Process-Centric Team Lead and to create the Pareto of losses as a key input to the Tier 1/ Tier 2 CI meeting.
- Serve as the point of contact for other units to share losses resulting from the activities of this Tier 1/Tier 2 team, including these in the overall Pareto of losses for use in the CI meeting.
- Escalate to QO Tier 2 major losses caused by the activities of other units.
- Trains and coaches the team on problem solving and root cause analysis tools.
- Conduct Kaizen, brainstorming session as and when necessary for new CI project initiatives
- Attends and contributes to the daily Tier 1 / Tier 2 (backup) meeting.
- Works with QC/QA PCT to update or support on role cards and/or standard work plans at least annually.
- Ensures that the active CI projects are up to date & progressing in a timely manner
- Ensures that QO metrics are promptly updated
- Reports the progress and deliverable to the Manager (CI-Champion-Quality) for all CI related activities and execute task assigned.
- Facilitate and lead CI improvement workshop e.g., Kaizen workshop

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Degree in Science or Degree in Engineering, in Chemical Engineering
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
- Energy, enthusiasm & capability to drive change and commitment to challenge how we currently operate
- An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex, fast-paced and goal driven environment
- Strong collaborative and influencing skills
- Passion for continuous improvement and IMEx
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Excellent leadership, coaching, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build a culture of positive engagement.
- Self-starter capable of working on own initiative - Completer Finisher with a ‘can-do attitude’
- Rigour and discipline required to ensure improvements sustained
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Strong decision-making capability.
