The Java Chapter lead is responsible for coaching and mentoring the java developers in Singapore and India on new technology stack and follow the standard & norm of the Bank. From a strong Java background, he/she is required to conduct meeting and coordinate with transversal team.

Role and responsibilities
- Responsible for developments done by the team.
- Ensure implementation of secure coding standards across the assets in the division.
- Monitor, adapt and improve the best practices for software development.
- Monitor regularly the team’s capacity planning from squads.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Work with Scrum master to ensure that backups are in place within the team
- Introduce new technologies or framework to support the business goals and manage the POC whenever needed.
- Propose technical solutions and improvements proactively, based on pros and cons after analysis of the various options.
- Support technical deliveries and support implementation by integration teams following the processes and tools of the bank.
- Define objectives to chapter members based on roadmap and learnings from division objectives.
- Conduct regular 1-1 with chapter members to ensure their adherence to objectives.
- Coach team members on technical, soft skills and career path improvements.
- Coach and Assist Application Owner to address existing technical depth in the Application.
- Coach and Assist Asset Owners on Asset Management topics.
- Assist Division heads by providing constructive feedback during respective meetings and ensure smooth functioning of the division activities.
- Assist Division heads on defining technical roadmaps and ensure implementation by working with squads.

**Profile**:

- 10+ years of experience in software development,
- Experience in a technical leadership role
- Excellent knoweledge of Java: Java 8+, Spring, ORM
- Excellent knowledge of REST API
- Experience with CI/CD: Jenkins, Serena and Agile development methodologies
