Broadcast Engineer

Job Description & Requirements
- Responsible for the overall technical know-how of the Playout Operations to ensure a smooth playout.
- Maintain first-line support of services and equipment, troubleshooting,

resolution and escalation, in close partnership with the Planetcast India

Broadcast Engineering team.
- Handle all daily communication between channels and playout control,

e.g. playlist deliveries/updates, live transmission preparation, graphic

scheduling etc., Compile daily discrepancy reports on the service of the playout centre and the channels.
- Other duties as assigned like infrastructure monitoring and reporting etc
- Diploma in Electronics / Communication or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in the Live Broadcast Industry

Key Responsibilities
- Service monitoring and Service recovery processes
- Service Resolution for recovery issues and to normalize service. Escalate problematic issues to the engineering team.
- Knowledge in networking and broadcast-related equipments (Harmonic encoders, various brands, and models of decoders, video routers, audio processors and other broadcast-related equipments). Knowledge in operating satellite downlink equipment, satellite frequency, carrier characteristics, OTT systems, and transcoders will be preferred.
