- As a software engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary product development team that builds and delivers a robust and intelligent product that supports data-driven analysis and decision-support. You are expected to possess background on full stack web development to work on technical work of across a range of complexities. The products that your engineering competencies contribute to will enable analysts and leaders alike, to make informed and astute decisions on operations and strategies that contribute to Singapore’s national security.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the product managers and owners to deliver technical solutions.
- Work with UX designers to enhance the value propositions of the features you build and deliver.
- Provide complexity assessment for the developmental tasks while being actively involved in the agile development process.
- Develop and deploy the products using DevOps practices and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Work closely with engineers in other product teams to explore innovative and interoperable technologies to deliver practical and sustainable products.
- Participate in user engagement activities to understand product development goals and sharpen the optimisation and delivery of your engineering solutions.

**Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
- Familiarity with backend Java development and frontend web development
- Excellent verbal as well as written communication and presentation skills
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Passionate, empathetic, and self-motivated

**Nice to haves**:

- Experience with agile software development and practiced framework or methodology such as Scrum
- Familiar with UX/UI design skillsets and DevOps practices
- Familiar with any of the following technologies or framework: Springboot, ReactJS, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MinIO, Neo4J, Docker, Kubernetes
