**Responsibilities**:
- Represent Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. in the utmost professional manner while constantly embracing honesty, integrity, and truth
- Comply with Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. anti-graft, non-bribery requirements
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, structural systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedule
- Attend daily job site safety meetings and perform weekly project safety audits
- Work with the project safety team to ensure all works are being carried out to the highest levels of safety
- Coordinate with on-site Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) and Resident Engineers (REs) for all required inspections and work verification
- Develop look-ahead schedules and assist the Construction managers in long-range planning
- Facilitate problem-solving, as may arise, between structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, lifting and CSA subcontractors during construction
- Work closely with Fortis and Subcontractor Construction Managers to lead logistics of all lifting operations.
- Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client-provided equipment
- Plan, coordinate and supervise all lifting activities in the project.
- To organize, co-ordinate, control and lead to ensure that all lifting activities are carried out safely and in-line with the quality requirement within the specified schedule on site
- To ensure the safety lifting regulations and requirements are being complied on-site Including review of lifting plans and rigging
- Provide technical advice on matters pertaining to primarily heavy transport and rigging/lifting operations, management of change, deviations and / or non-compliances.
- Monitor subcontractors’ transportation and lifting method statements to ensure compliance with Project requirements.
- Ensure subcontractors’ lifting activities comply with the project’s Health, Safety, and Environment codes, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure that the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operation to be performed
- Work with engineers, construction managers to derive or review critical lifting plans
- To review all lifting plans before execution
- Facilitate specific trainings and briefing together with the HSE department
**Qualifications**
- Tower Crane experience is a must
- Must possess a BCSS certificate or other higher local safety certifications by Approved Training Providers
- Must possess a Lifting Supervisor certificate in conjunction with a Rigger/Signalman Certificate
- Worked on multi-crane construction sites. Familiar with jacking tower cranes and installation of tiebacks.
- Versed in local regulations for tower and mobile crane use.
- A minimum of 5 years of heavy transport/heavy lift experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel in a mentoring/developmental role in a site oriented environment
- In-depth understanding of Lifting Regulations and Standards. Skilled in the understanding of technical principles, practices, and methods for transport and lifting operations.
- Experience building data centers or other technically intensive facilities.
- An ability to move fast and quickly make solid strategic and planning decisions on the go is critical for success.
- Computer literate. Significant experience with Excel, Word, and other computer-based tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English.
