**Job Summary**

The role will involve with the day-to-day supervising pipe-jacking activities.

He is responsible for the safe, technical and economical operations of the Team and ensure the pipe jacking works are carried out within the approved schedule and according to project parameters and project KPIs (e.g Production Rate, Proper alignment of the pipe jacking works etc)

Supervise and hands on involvement in the mobilization and de-mobilization of the pipe jacking operations for any site setup and ensure preventive maintenance of all equipment are performed appropriately.

**Key Competencies**
- Demonstrated understanding of steering and control of micro-tunnelling/pipe jacking machine and ability to skilfully steer machine remotely below ground to the destination
- Action oriented, maintain high levels of productivity and able to work long hours when necessary
- Ability to work independently with initiative and prompt action to achieve goals and meet needs without being asked
- Safety awareness - aware of conditions and circumstances that may cause damage to personnel or property
- Able to maintain performance under pressure and handling oneself in stressful situations in a manner that is professional and courteous
- Adaptable to changes in assignments and priorities; adapting behaviour or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles
- Quality orientated, monitoring and checking work to meet quality standards; demonstrates a high level of care and thoroughness

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Supervise all operations and relevant works and provide technical support in various projects and ensure timely completion within stipulated timeline.
- Preparation, Installation, dismantling and maintenance of all mini-tunnel boring machine/pipe jacking-related equipment both on & off-site
- Preparation of pipes ready for jacking and check lubrication lines during pipe jacking.
- Actively participate in system assembly and disassembly during mobilization and demobilization periods
- Participate in pre-planning meetings, operations meetings with Management and Sub-contractors and prepare relevant reports as and required
- Ensure daily maintenance and routine repairs of jacking machine
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and inform Management on machines reconditions and upgrade when necessary
- Monitor line and grade to ensure alignment are accurate and remains within tolerances described in project plans and specifications
- Monitor and report work progress, issue daily reports and maintain accurate records of jacking operations per specified forms
- Complete Inspection Test Plans/Protocol and Acceptance Reports
- Perform Good Housekeeping of Sites
- Maintain good working relationships with all parties at all times.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Mechanical & Engineering and/or Civil education
- Minimum 3 years of specialized experience in handling Pipe Jacking Machines; micro-tunnelling experience
- Relevant work experience in Supervising tunnelling/pipe jacking works and pipe laying works within Construction and/or Civil Engineering projects
- Experience in DB works and construction supervision of works of similar magnitude would be ideal for this position
