**The **Role**:Senior Consultant, Energy Transition Consulting - Singapore

**The Energy Transition Consulting Team within S&P Global Commodity Insights (SPGCI) **is a trusted advisor to governments and leading companies in the energy, commodities and financial sectors. Typical services range across energy transition strategy assistance, market studies, transaction support, emissions reduction roadmap development, and ESG/Energy policy advice.

**This role **will contribute to the winning and execution of consulting projects for private and public sector clients across the APAC region with a focus on Energy Transition topics. Projects typically leverage SPGCI data, research and expertise and cover decarbonization strategies & roadmaps, low carbon investment opportunities, carbon markets, hydrogen economy and lifecycle emissions/sustainability analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support business development activities of senior colleagues, including:

- Attend client meetings to help scope out customer needs and work plans
- Develop, or contribute to, high quality proposals
- Deliver high quality analysis, presentations and reports, under the direction of the project manager. This will typically require:

- Identify internal and external information sources, gather, and synthesize data
- Build and run analytical models as required for consulting projects (e.g., Excel, Python, others)
- Efficiently analyze data to produce insights using data analytics tools
- Participate in client or industry interviews and extract key takeaways
- Produce reports, or sections of reports, for clients
- Participate in client meetings and contribute by presenting aspects of the analysis
- Support internal knowledge development by feeding back key insights from consulting engagements to research and data teams

**What We’re Looking For**:

- 5-8 years of experience in industry, consulting, or finance environments, preferably with experience related to low carbon technologies, carbon emissions, ESG/sustainability or energy market analysis
- Previous consulting or highly relevant experience will be a significant advantage
- Minimum qualifications are BSc. in engineering, finance, business, or related field.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills in English. (Asian languages a plus)
- Must have an analytical frame of mind and prepared to use data to back up opinions.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment providing ideas and open feedback.
- Demonstrate experience of managing, leading and structuring discrete pieces of work and comfortable working with uncertainty and incomplete data.
- Willingness to travel, average around 20-40% of time (could occasionally be more for specific projects)
