A Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Assoc. Prof. Andrew Tan, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. LKCMedicine’s research is motivated to shape future medicine and healthcare through disruptive discoveries and inventions that are of national and global impact. Our research programmes focus on addressing therapeutic priority areas that are relevant both locally and globally. The position is a full-time Research Assistant role located on-site in Singapore at LKCMedicine. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting research, performing laboratory tasks, analyzing data, and communicating findings effectively within the team. The role will involve supporting ongoing research projects and contributing to scientific advancements in medicine.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work self-motivatedly and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Perform animal maintenance and husbandry duties.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all work conducted.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to research projects.
- Participate in routine laboratory upkeep.
- Perform cell culture and flow cytometry
- Perform basic molecular biology techniques

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, biotechnology or veterinary technology.
- Experience in animal husbandry, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques such as PCR and western blot is preferred but not a prerequisite.
- Possession of RCULA animal handling certification is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills conducive to collaborative work.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
