**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the editors or editor-in-chief to research and plan new articles
- Work on commission articles
- Liaise with team members (e.g. writers, reporters and photographers) and ensure that deadlines are met
- Write and edit pieces
- Proofread and check articles for accuracy
- Suggest possible sources and improvements for pieces
- Choose supporting material for articles, like images and illustrations
- Follow current events and developments to suggest original ideas
- Use social media and SEO to draw attention to articles
- Provide administrative support to the editors or editor-in-chief

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as an Assistant Editor will be ideal
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Experience with MS Office or other publishing tools
- Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, WeChat or WeiBo
- Meticulous and able to priortize and multitask
- Excellent communication skills
