As the Automation Leader you will lead the Automation organization, which is responsible to establish, maintain and improve the automation processes with respect to buildings, equipment and utilities in the assigned region / site. The Lead coordinates all strategic automation projects and initiatives. He / She provides cost-effective and efficient technical solutions, standards, strategies and acts as a competence center for automation and interface to IT.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure availability of competent, high performing people and develop the talent pool
- Implement sharing and leveraging of best practices and expertise in the automation area
- Drive and improve technical availability, reliability and condition of assets, Technical Services (infrastructure, utilities), availability and reliability.
- Establish cost efficient repair and maintenance / calibration processes in compliance with local regulations, HSE, GMP
- Develop contractual strategy and framework to manage vendors / contractors and corresponding contracts in assigned region / site and approve periodic re-qualification plan for automation systems
- Develop, design Process Control Systems and implement Coding / Recipes (DCS / Scada / PLC's / Control Networks)
- Design, implement & maintain Historian Configuration for modules / visualization / OPEX
- Implement Software Change Controls associated with automation / system changes
- Develop & deliver OT activities (e.g. Backup & Recovery / Patch Management / Remote Access / User Access)
- Establish & maintain new / modified end-to-end OT services / processes / procedures for Automation / Manufacturing / QC equipment

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in Automation within Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated strong leadership experience for the management of team and external resources.
- Project management skills including resource planning, budget control & quality.
- Proven in resolving software /automation problems & maintain reliable operation of all building control / automation and related systems.
- Own and develop automation solutions that are consistent with specific needs of the manufacturing environment while complying and supporting the global standards.
- Communications skills with the ability to present ideas & solutions.
- Skills in C&Q within the automation (CSV). Delta V, MES, Pi Historian
- Extended knowledge of GxP / HSE & Quality systems.
