As part of our targeted growth in our Asia region, we have an opportunity for a dynamic ports & maritime professional to join our team. This pivotal role will be involved in expanding Mott MacDonald’s presence in the ports and maritime sector. Part of this role will include steering technical design delivery, business development initiatives, and spearheading the ports and maritime business stream in Asia and beyond.**_The focus of this role will include:_**
- Spearheading the ports and maritime business stream by building and leveraging on our multi-disciplinary engineering capabilities and sectors, with building and maintaining strong client relationships across Asia and beyond.
- Providing technical direction and guidance to engineers on ports and maritime projects through fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Manage the delivery of projects from a project management and/or technical perspective to support our engineering and design services and spearhead client engagements as the project principal. You will also build team capability through transfer of internal expertise.
- Coordinating our work winning activities and client account focus.
- The preferred location for this role is either Singapore or Hong Kong, with other Asian locations such as Indonesia and Malaysia as possibilities.**About you**:

- We are in search of a business and technical professional in the ports & maritime sector, with demonstrable experience in project management of ports & maritime projects, with client-facing experience. It is a role that requires a multi-sector approach, driving sustainable solutions for our clients through leveraging Mott MacDonald’s deep multi-sector and engineering capabilities.You also bring:
- Degree qualifications in marine civil/structural engineering or similar technical fields.
- Previous experience in directing the design of port facilities, land reclamation or other civil engineering projects in a marine environment.
- Experience in people management in a consultancy environment, and in a client-facing role.
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and written, with good ability to prepare proposals and explaining technical issues to non-engineers, including Clients.
- Able to collate, evaluate, and act upon complex and diverse information from a variety of sources.
