**Group/Division**
The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) plays a critical role in developing advanced long-range technology in collaboration with product divisions and strategic marketing, working on future technology like light sources, lasers, and sensors. We are engaged in the research and development process, and once the technology is mature, we partner with product engineering groups who then build products based on the technology we’ve developed. The Office of the CTO also provides technical input into KLA’s strategic planning process, program reviews and Product Life Cycle (PLC) phases. We provide our broad technology expertise and cross-division experience to ensure we leverage the collective knowledge within our company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Test and analyze solid-state electron-emitter array for use in advanced reticle inspection equipment. Provide technical leadership in improving the emitter performance as well as developing next-generation units.
- Simulation of electron optical elements performance and e-beam arcing behavior. Do data analysis, and extract clear results and conclusions from data sets.
- Execution of experimental plans, debugging of test setups and fixtures. Analysis the test results and correlate to related simulations.
- Be a critical part within CTO Singapore team to work with scientists in CTO Milpitas and strategic suppliers to identify, investigate, and develop promising new concepts, methods of electron-emitters and other electron optical elements.
- Work with outside vendors to optimize process of key components, qualify products from those suppliers to ensure the performance can meet KT requirement.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Ph.D. in physics or related with at least 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge in electron and ion optics, with hand-on skills of experimental fixture setup and design of experiments.
- Capable of taking assignments with high complexity and finding effective, creative solutions
- Must be excellent experimentalist with good problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Experience with electron beam systems, high vacuum and high voltage.
- Familiar with microanalysis techniques, such as SEM microscope and imaging system.
