**Role Summary**
As the Manager, Planning & Oversight at EDPR APAC, a renewables company based in Singapore, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for project planning and forecasting, EPC and permit management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of solar projects, managing EPC contractors, and overseeing the back-office team responsible for permitting processes. Your leadership skills, drive, and energy will inspire the team towards excellence in project management and contribute to the growth of our company.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the Planning & Oversight team, responsible for project planning, forecasting, reporting, permit management, EPC management and design review
- Oversee forecasting of project timelines, costs, and resources, providing regular reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Manage a single database with all project specific data related to construction
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, design team and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery
- Manage EPC contractors through efficient contract management, monitoring performance, and swiftly resolving any contractual issues
- Overview the review of solar project designs and other deliverables produced by the EPCs
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, costs, or quality
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and energetic work culture within the Planning & Oversight team
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
- At least 10 years in team management and project planning, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
- Experience managing EPC contractors through effective contract management
- Operational background, with experience in managing back-office, operational processes
- Results-oriented mindset with a drive for excellence, focusing on achieving project objectives
- Continuous improvement mindset, always looking out for potential process improvement opportunities on the back-office team
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address project-related challenges
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple topics simultaneously
