**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Maintain equipment-routinely check all diving equipment and ensure all equipment are adequate and in good serviceable condition. Ensure there are sufficient spares before every job deployment. Cleaning equipment after every dive, carry out maintenance and general repairs of equipment used for the job.
- Stay safe-responsible at all times for safety and must stay constantly aware of their equipment readings and underwater landmarks while diving during diving operations.Ensure individual divers physically checked their diving equipments prior to dive.
- Kept updated on any new requirement/regulation by the authority (i.e. MOM and MPA) in relation to diving operations to be carried out in the yard. Observe local and safety policies/procedures whilst at work and during all diving projects.
- Brief and assign tasks to divers prior to dive.
- Perform diving operations such as underwater inspection, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, blanking, etc. of vessels and barges.
- Able to use brush kart, CCTV & Underwater digital camera etc.
- Compliance in accordance with SS511 & Company codes standards.
- Any other assignments as needed.
- Identify training needs for the diving team.

**Requirements**:

- Certified in CSCUBA (issued by MOM approved training centre)/SSDE.
- Scuba certification from a recognized training agency an advantage.
- Medically fit with in-date diving medical certificate
- Minimum 8 years of working experiences in similar role
- Able to manage a team of up to 10 divers
- Able to interpret general docking plan
- Able to assist Asst. Dock Master and/or Dock Master by giving clearance and countdown for positioning of the vessel during internal shifting, docking and undocking operations
- Possess in depth knowledge on diving matters
- Prepared to work after operating hours, on weekends and public holidays
- Prepared to be called up with minimum notice in the event of emergency
- Familiar with Emergency Response Procedure
- Building Construction Supervisor Safety (BCSS)
- Safety oriented and work closely in a team environment
- English language is required
- Must be able to communicate clearly
