KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a 1-year contract role with possibility of contract renewal.

The role will have a direct reporting to HSSE Officer. Supports the Site Manager in the management of site Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) related matters, include but not limited to:

- Identify, recommend, and enforce best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
- Ensure immediate rectification of any unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure HSE policies, procedures, plans and processes are enforced and implemented with proper documentation to be maintained at all times.
- Daily monitoring, supervision and inspection of all site works and activities not limited to civil, structure, piping, mechanical, electrical, confined space, work at height, lifting, scaffolding, testing and commissioning.
- Conduct or coordinate In-House Training Program, Safety Promotions or other safety-related activities for Staff and EPC Contractors including toolbox talks and meetings.
- Perform safety audits and inspection of the Company’s worksites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
- Assist in maintaining certifications such as ISO45001, bizSAFE Partner/ bizSAFE Star certificates.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Director & HSSE Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Advance Certificate in WSH (Level B) or equivalent.
- Must have professional knowledge in WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH act and Environment).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in managing WSH programs in Brown Field Construction projects related to Power & Utilities industry is a plus.
