**Objective**:
To lead the broking support (BS) team and raise the standards and profile of the support team with the goal of delivering high quality service to our clients and reinsurers. Co-ordinate the delivery of Broking solutions to the clients, create consistency around the broking activities for the team.

**Role Description - to include the following but not limited to**:
a. To support the brokers together with BS team in the administration of business relating to placements and servicing of treaty business. This entails training the BS team and ensuring that team achieves a standard of technical competency:

- The renewal process is initiated for various clients according to the renewal calendar by specifying information requirements, data formats and deadlines.
- Necessary checks are performed in validating all renewal information and statistics, sorting out discrepancies and updating the information.
- Renewal information packages are properly and accurately prepared.
- Placement and cover confirmation documents are prepared in close co-ordination with the brokers, including Slips and Contract wordings, Cover Notes, Endorsements and Addendums.
- Contract certainty is achieved

b. To maintain a database for wordings and update periodically on any changes per market standards or norm.

c. To manage reports and research as required by the brokers / management.

d. Assist Finance Department in management of Credit Control for treaty clients and work closely with the brokers in charge in achieving satisfactory Credit Control levels.

**Internal Interaction**:
The key internal teams with whom the Job Holder must work to achieve the purpose of the role:

- _Brokers in the Treaty Team _
- _Technical Services / Claims team _
- _Finance Division _

**Generic Knowledge and Skills Required**:
1. Technical reinsurance and accounting knowledge in Treaty reinsurance (with at least 5 years in Treaty reinsurance).

2. Having an analytical mind and a keen eye for details and accuracy.

3. Analysis of treaty renewal data (e.g. Risk profiles, Claims, statistics etc).

4. Ability to carry out duties professionally with a credible approach resulting in an understanding of client and Technical issues.

5. Slip drafting / Contract wordings and knowledge of market norms and requirements.

6. Ability to work independently; yet developing and building a skilled team.

7. High level of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and plans.

8. Raise professionalism and improve relations with business associates.

9. Good communications skills with good knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

10. Ability to work under pressure.

11. Time management and prioritisation, team player.
