Lecturer - Security Operations [ite College Central]

As a Lecturer, your contributions go beyond teaching and facilitating learning. You will play a critical role in recognising and nurturing your students’ potential and their lifelong learning needs. In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession and to evolving changes in industry, and maintain strong linkages with industry and schools. You will also have the opportunity to have industry attachments or experience on a regular basis to update your skills, knowledge and practices of your profession.
You should have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the law enforcement industry. Qualifications in a security-related field, or in business or its equivalent is preferred. It is necessary that you possess experience in training and supervising security officers, planning and coordinating security operations, educating stakeholders on emergency response action, as well as assessing incidents and laying down strategies that will prevent a future occurrence. You should ideally possess excellent organisational, communication and critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Your key roles include delivering effective and interesting lessons, and/or other focus areas (such as curriculum design, assessment, industry projects, counselling, etc.) to ensure quality learning of students. You will establish constructive relationships with internal stakeholders such as students, parents and other divisions, as well as external stakeholders such as government agencies, security companies and other potential clients.
You should have the competency and knowledge to facilitate at least 3 or more of the following modules:
- Consumer Behaviour Analytics
- Design Thinking for Customer Experience
- Effective Communication for Security
- Fundamentals of Security Services
- Introduction to Criminal Psychology
- Customer Service Quality Management System
- Situational Awareness & Crisis Management
- Leadership and People Management
