Job Responsibilities

Provide governance oversight for the effective management of operational risks through the various operational risk programmes.Be involved in the development and maintenance of operational risk framework, policies, procedures and guidelines; and in the oversight of their implementation for consistency and effectiveness.Work with and guide the Business and Support Units (BU/SUs) to identify and assess the key risks in their end-to-end key processes, design effective process control test steps to mitigate key risks, conduct self-assessments and monitor operational risks.Analyse operational risk data and implement strategies to discover relationships between front-end data from Line 1 with operational risk data in Line 2.Monitor the effectiveness of process controls tests through analysing, measuring, and assessing the results derived from the operational risk programmes.Assess and highlight the operational risks of the BU/SUs via their key risk controls and key risk indicators.Review the BU/SU’s Product Programmes to ensure that the operational risks associated with the specific product are identified and addressed appropriately.Review the BU/SU’s due diligence and risk assessments on outsourcing service providers as well as 3rd party non-outsourcing service providers.Conduct periodic end user testing on the bank-wide Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system.Promote greater operational risk management awareness among the BU/SUs through the conduct of operational risk training sessions.Lead and/or participate in ad-hoc projects from time to time.Job Requirements

At least 10 years of operational risk management, quality assurance or other risk control-related function experience from the banking industryExperience in data analytics and implementation of data discovery strategies will be an advantage.Degree holder or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.Excellent interpersonal skills to engage a variety of stakeholders within the Bank.Natural team player and collaborator.Self-starter, with initiative and strong drive to achieve good quality work.Highly adaptive and able to manage varying exigencies at work.Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.Experienced in end-user testing as part of enterprise-wide system implementation and lifecycle.About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board.
