He/ She will be responsible for the testing of and documenting the completion of the PLC systems and interfacing with the Power T&C team where necessary for primary equipment testing. This includes coordinating / finding any problems & resolution within the PLCs and interfacing with Schneider & SCADA team on the resolution before retesting.

Understanding of the PLC strategy and development of program and the impact on the migration philosophy and testing. Closing out any comments to achieve approval on all FAT, SAT and system testing documentation.

The Lead SCADA Engineer will support the Operations HMI & PLC program interface between client and supplier. Controlling minor modifications and client specification requests and close out of TQs. Monitoring and controlling software releases and integration strategies in line with project delivery

Support operation interface with new PSCADA HMI from within the OCC and assist to train Power Controllers on the HMI interface

The SCADA Engineer is in charge to follow the design and development of the PLC based systems of the project such as SCADA, Emergency tripping System (ETS) and Auto Intake switchover system.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the training and familiarisation of power controllers on site and in OCC with the new PSCADA HMI system
- Communicate automation migration strategies to operations staff within OCC
- Interface with the T&C team for all PSCADA, ETS & AIS testing to the local PLC and OCC for all SATs.
- Assist in HMI minor modifications for staging of primary equipment visualisation.
- Assist in the communication of primary equipment control and indication staging to operational staff within OCC and document concerns and punch list items.
- To ensure that the proposed equipment fit for purpose and is compliant with the specification and functional needs
- To document any tests carried out and to finalise test reports on activities.
- To attend Technical meetings with the client & T&C team on methodology of implementation & Testing
- Support other Automation/ SCADA test engineers in testing and functionality checks to other stations, OCC warehouse testing with strong knowledge of Schneider software.
- Sub-contractor interface on problem resolution within the PLC & HMI code.
- To support the decommissioning of the existing SCADA system if necessary.
