In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide.

**Position Summary**:

- Analyze and understand local payment market development history and trends, follow payment regulation, policy changes and guidelines.
- Connect with top players in the payment segment, do comparison across partners and solutions, and identify the fit synergies across business segments and payment solutions.
- Work closely with the territory teams to understand local needs and proactively work on solutions to support business growth.
- Establish connections with key stakeholders, including but not limited to payment partners, regulators and top players in different business segments.
- Ensuring excellent communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services, taking into account market specificity (regulation, competition etc.).
- Managing existing accounts to maximize revenue through cross and up selling opportunities and maximizing customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**:

- At least 3+ years of business development/sales experience with in depth cross border payments industry.
- Have a good understanding of the digital payment industry development of East Asia regional (Japan&Korea) and well connected to Banks and Cross Border Payment Providers.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English. Japanese or Korean is a must.
- Stay up to date on market trends and issues affecting the local payments industry from global perspectives.
- Strong balance of both strategic planning and active hands on approach is a must. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front.
- Must possess a can-do, entrepreneurial drive, focusing on solving problems creatively with a high level of energy. This is critical both as a cultural fit and based on the nature of internal business growth plans.
