Responsibilities and Expectations:
As a key member of the IT team, you play a significant role in managing and monitoring our IT systems and infrastructure (servers, storage systems, backup server, network switches, and firewalls) to ensure availability, performance, and IT security.
- Take part in planning and implementation of IT standardization solution, infrastructure, technologies, and cybersecurity.
- Lead IT projects that drive growth, automation, and user experience across our Haw Par group of companies.
- Manage and optimize our System Hardware and Software, eg. Fortigate Firewall, CISCO/HP routers and switches/ wireless, Windows Server 2008 to 2019, ShadowProtect, SAP BASIS, VM in AWS, and Microsoft 365
- Manage and maintain DNS, WSUS, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and other Windows server functionalities.
- Maintain and update the documentations including IT inventory, regularly review of the network performance, capacity planning, and contribute the monthly report.
- Proactively ensure highest level of system availability, maintain acceptable system performance, and respond to critical production system alerts including potential cybersecurity exploits.
- Incident/problem management and liaise with vendors for root cause analysis.
- Provide level 1 to 3 support for End-User Computing devices.
- Ensure relevance and compliance of our Group IT System Infrastructure Policy and Standards.
- Manage our intranet and internet websites, social media access, and collaborative technologies.
- Ensure health of our IT System Infrastructure and efficacy of our disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Manage external IT vendors to support our operations in Thailand, Malaysia and China.
- Supervise, develop, and engage the IT System Specialist on your team.

Capabilities and Characteristics
- Possess a tertiary qualification in IT, with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent and confident communicator in English, able to provide clear and concise documentation, reporting, and guidance. Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu or Thai will be advantageous.
- Mature, reliable, and effective in relating to colleagues from all walks of life.
- Expert practitioner in cybersecurity.
- Keen and self-driven learner, open-minded, keeps abreast of new technologies and best practises.
- Strong in conducting independent research.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skill.
- Knowledge of IP networking, routing, VLAN, high availability, load balancing and firewalling concepts would be advantages.
