**Reporting Address**
10 Buangkok View, Singapore 539747 (Institute of Mental Health campus).
**Working Hours**
Monday - Friday: 8.00 am to 5.00pm
Saturday: 9.00am to 12.00pm
**Responsibilities**
- Works with Head Chef to maintain kitchen organisation, ensures the kitchen activities operate in a timely manner
- Assists Head Chef with menu creation
- Supervises food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and standards
- Oversees and organises kitchen stock and ingredients
- Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated, stored, and organized for quality assurance
- Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
- Monitors and records inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies
- Provides training to junior kitchen staff members and persons with special needs on basic F&B skills including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Arrange schedule for kitchen staff
- Maintains and updates the Halal Quality Management System
**Requirements**:
- Certificate in Culinary skills, or its equivalent
- Knowledge in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Embrace diversity and promotes teamwork
