Assistant Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities

**Job Summary**
Supervises Data Center Engineers and Data Center site. Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance
Typically has 2-3 years of people management experience and is fully proficient with each of the responsibilities indicated
**Responsibilities**
Management
- Supervises Data Center Engineers to ensure that the duties they are undertaking are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected
- Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development
Site Capacity Management
- Overall site capacity supervision
Project/Infrastructure Management
- Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center
- Provides input and guidance towards budget
Vendor Management
- Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
Testing
- Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
Incident Management
- Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
**Qualifications**
- 8+ years experience in critical facilities engineering in a data center environment preferred
- Degree/Diploma in an Engineering field preferred
