Sr. Engineer Cloud Operations

**Position Summary**

**Major Duties & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for configuration management, resource allocation, optimizing performance capacity, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Management of all cloud infrastructure service requests, incidents and changes.
- Provide escalation support and communications to stakeholders for major problems and incidents.
- Provide technical guidance and drive service improvements in Operations team.
- Partner with engineering, development and business teams to drive operational excellence with adoption of automation tool and cloud patterns.
- Work closely with Cloud engineering team to deliver solution design, architecture and services development on major projects and programs
- Investigate emerging technologies, new engineering techniques, and leverage opportunities that drive continuous improvement of the service and its use in solutions.
- Identify and drive automation solutions to optimize Cloud Operation Processes
- Act as SME for the China market for the cloud operations processes and optimization.
- Interact with cross functional teams to ensure complete delivery of solutions.
- Stake holder and partners management

**Other Duties & Responsibilities**
- Senior Engineer - Cloud Operations must have 3-4 years and above hands-on experience on cloud operations role across multi-cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- He/She must understand cloud security and governance to ensure J&J data is protected. He/She much understand cloud services and platforms to maximize and leverage potential of the services, know how to combine services, and also know how to identify when the service should be used in solutions.
- Also, understand the service lifecycle and plan for and execute that lifecycle (CI/CD with Jenkins ,Git, services and technical debt control).
- In depth technical knowledge and experience with Cloud focused - networking, and cloud-native solutions.
- Collaboration externally with the regional service team and internally with the peer service engineer teams is a critical job component.
- Senior Engineer - Cloud Operations must also have a strong understanding of IT Service Management tools and processes. software development and agile/waterfall techniques so that he/she can influence and mentor engineers working on solution delivery.
- He/She must have a strong background in SDLC technique (agile and waterfall), work estimation, and execution to facilitate scope estimation.
- Should have hands-on in the latest cloud tech like Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, infrastructure as code (terraform), serverless architecture, microservices.
- Also, need have good understanding of the practical programming languages

**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 4-5 years of related work experience in large enterprises preferred
- Analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of cloud services in AWS, Azure or GCP hosting platforms
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and ITSM tools and processes
- Strong understanding of cloud security and governance frameworks
- Strong understanding of agile development processes
- Strong understanding software development/engineering (including DevSecOps)
- Strong Understanding of git, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Containers and cloud observability
- Must be able to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to management effectively
- Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others with little supervision
- Must be able to influence others
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Must be results driven, a quick learner, and a self-starter.
