International Business Development - Site Selection and Acquisitions Department

The International Business Development/Site Selection & Acquisitions team is responsible for delivering quality sites for Vantage’s data center development. The team sources, evaluates, pre-qualifies, and completes initial due diligence leading to site acquisitions that support Vantage’s data center business across APAC. The team collaborates with Sales, New Site Development, Design & Engineering, Construction, Operations, Legal, Finance and the Vantage Senior Leadership Team.

Position Overview

Essential Job Function

Duties- Strategically align various initiatives to effectively achieve team and corporate goals.- Implement new programs and improve existing programs with the objective to meet or exceed department and corporate goals.- Lead the team’s annual business planning including preparation of budget, related programs, initiatives, and policies.- Manage the team’s business operations and rhythm of business reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses, monthly variance reports, site selection metrics, and other key performance indicators.- Act as integrator across key functions within internal teams, including Legal, Finance, New Site Development, Design & Engineering, Marketing, Construction, Operations and Executive team.- Identify communication and resource gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support to balancing priorities.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience- Master of Science, Real estate, MBA or equivalent degree preferred.- Experience in Tableau/Power BI and other analytical tools required.- GIS skills preferred.- Experience or familiarity with real estate land acquisition with particular focus on Data Center infrastructure or related technical facility development.- Excellent organization skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Strong negotiation skills.- High attention to detail.- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment.- Proven track record of earning trust, taking ownership, and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Strong IT skills: ability to use multiple communication tools and packages.- Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical needs.- Creative problem solver and proven track record to champion innovation.- Excellent relationship building skills and partner management.- Ability to make effective presentations on general topics.- Skilled at solving problems and dealing with a variety of options with limited information.- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organisation and with other partners and third parties such as third-party consultants, brokers, agent, technical advisors, etc.- Flexible, adaptable, and self-directed; able to work independently across a variety of circumstances, eg: remotely, while travelling, across multiple time zones, cross functionally, by project, etc.- Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the commercial metrics which drive a successful development.- Seniority Level: Mid-Level; five years’ experience in technical program or project management with large scale infrastructure projects.- Ability to travel 25% of time if based in Singapore.
