Itad Technician

The ITAD Technician is responsible for the secure and efficient processing of IT assets for disposal, recycling, or resale. The role involves handling a variety of electronic equipment, ensuring data destruction, and adhering to environmental and safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Asset Processing**: Inspect, test, and categorize IT assets for resale, recycling, or disposal.
- **Data Destruction**: Perform data wiping, shredding, and degaussing to ensure data security and compliance with regulations.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing assets, and update inventory systems.
- **Refurbishment**: Repair and refurbish IT equipment to extend its life and prepare it for resale.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- **Reporting**: Generate reports on asset processing, data destruction, and inventory status.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards are met in all ITAD processes.
- **Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing any concerns or questions regarding their IT assets.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in IT or electronics preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, or a related field is desirable.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in data destruction techniques, electronic testing, and repair. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
