About the Team
Ecommerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules, and systems to ensure quality. We are looking for Seller Governance Strategy Managers to join our team to develop strategies/ policies to enable businesses while ensuring quality across the seller lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Develop data-driven strategies and policies to enable the e-commerce business, evaluate sellers' behaviours, including product listing behaviour, fulfillment and services. The focus is on South-East Asia (SEA) but you may also support other international launches.
2. Maintain a keen understanding of SEA market and regulatory conditions to inform strategy development.
3. Responsible for sellers' compliance management, building up the implementation process and working closely with cross-functional partners -- such as product and tech teams -- to optimise enforcement system efficiencies.
4. Ensure constant improvements of defect order rates and other top line metrics.
5. Responsible for minimising the number of sellers on the E-commerce platform who actively and consistently attempt to engage in non-compliance.
6. Work to promote transparency and understanding of policies, including assessing seller plans of action in response to enforcement actions.
7. Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications on all seller governance issues.
8. Support communications, enforcement actions, and data reporting for seller enforcement and appeal programs.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications
1. Strong Bachelor degree and above.
2. Minimum 2 years of hands on and in-depth experience on e-commerce governance strategies or policy-making is a must.
3. Excellent programme management and communication skills with the ability to plan for, and manage projects, as well as coordinate with multiple cross-functional teams.
4. Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including the ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
5. Experience with analytical tools (Excel or SQL) to drive analytics and reporting. Data interpretation is required in this role.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Familiar with SEA E-commerce compliance requirements and internet governance management, with business sensitivity and risk awareness.
2. Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully in ambiguity, with multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
3. Engage with sellers to deep-dive into challenges, and develop seller operational improvement plans.
4. Proficiency in another SEA language is a plus.
