**Roles & Responsibilities**

Tescom is looking for a:
**Manual Tester**

Job responsibilities include:
a) Responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system;

b) Carry out the activities in the testing lifecycle including test planning, analyzing business and system requirements;

c) Designing and developing the test cases and procedures or test automation solution based on the system design;

d) Creating traceability to requirements, analysing gaps and addressing them;

e) Preparing the test environment;

f) Executing the test procedures and automation test scripts;

g) Logging and tracking defects to closure;

h) Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders including explaining test reports to stakeholders; and

i) Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, addressing test gaps to ensure test efficiency.
**Required qualifications and experience include**:
a) Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.

b) Min. 1-year experience in software testing with hands-on manual testing experience; Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply

c) Possess a strong interest and self-motivation to carry out testing with the objective to contribute towards a better-quality software/system;

d) Good written and verbal communication skills in English;

e) Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;

f) Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment;

g) Good capability in designing/developing effective test cases based on requirements, and creating traceability between requirements and test procedures;

h) Experience in diverse test execution phases (Agile testing, System Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing) which include preparation of the test environment, test execution, recording of test results, conducting of test reviews with both internal and external stakeholders, logging defects and following up on defects to closure will be advantageous;

i) Relevant experience and competence with the tools used for test management, configuration management, test automation and defect tracking;

j) Familiarity with database scripting and performance tuning will be advantageous;

k) Certification in software testing will be advantageous; and

l) Experience in micro-payment or Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards will be advantageous.
