**About the role**

As part of our business expansion in Singapore and regionally, we are looking to grow our business development team with a Business Development and Strategy Associate. The role will report to the Head of Business Development but is expected to support and work across the firm’s business, finance, operations, and technology functions. Key responsibility will be to support business opportunities to drive growth and profitability for the company.
- Assist in the cross-functional strategic development of the firm in business growth and develop internal business capabilities in the environmental commodities (e.g. carbon credits and renewable energy certificates) market and capital markets.
- Work closely with the business development team to implement and execute sales and marketing strategies.
- Participate in client acquisition, client account management, and project management activities.
- Support the development and execution of strategic and fundraising plans which includes conducting market and competitor research, analysis, and preparation of business plan and investor pitch decks and memos.

InterOpera is an exchange operator for environmental commodities (e.g. carbon credits and renewable energy certificates) and provides blockchain infrastructure to automate the entire spectrum of tasks for renewable energy asset owners. The mission of InterOpera is to digitally bridge environmental commodities and financial markets for a connected and sustainable future. Shareable Assets Pte. Ltd. is its wholly-owned subsidiary operating under a capital markets services license from the MAS. To date, we have raised USD 9 million led by Korea Investment Partners. Among other investors, we are backed by Vertex Ventures and Kakao Investments.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the cross-functional strategic development of the firm into business growth and develop internal business capabilities in the environmental commodities (e.g. carbon credits and renewable energy certificates) market and capital markets.
- Work closely with the business development team to implement and execute sales and marketing strategies.

**Requirements for the role**
- University degree preferred with 1-4 years of business development or strategy work experience
- Understanding of renewable energy, green attributes and/or capital markets
- Knowledge of distributed ledger technology or related technologies is a plus
- Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in English and ideally one other Asian language
- Driven and result-oriented individual
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible mindset and good learning attitude
- Frequent business travel required (mainly within Southeast Asia)
